Understanding Bipolar and Depression

The only way you can do that is if you yourself have experienced it.  If not, then you cannot understand it.  Ever.  We can talk about the highs and the lows and use as many metaphors as we can, but you still will not understand it.  Because to understand it, you must experience it.

That’s why Support groups are so important.  I cannot underestimate the importance of Support groups.  They can detect and understand changes in you that others would not.  They are there for you.  You are not alone.  Even though you feel as though you are an island right now.  These things cannot be discerned with the naked eye.  They must be felt.  Picked up on.

Not surprisingly, when we are together, we can accomplish amazing things. There is so much creativity flowing among us, highly intelligent and intuitive beings.  Instead we are treated as though we are defective by society.  That, my friend, is stigma.
