This is my favorite self-portrait of my younger son when he was in first grade and grew to become an incredibly talented artist. But what makes this piece so perfect is the comment the teacher made! She was a regular substitute teacher at the school and happened to be teaching his class that day. Those are the kind of teachers we need!
